Question
When will a yorkie puppy learn to sleep through the night and how can i train him?
Answer
A yorkies sleeping habits will vary from dog to dog. There are some yorkies who will sleep straight through the night and there are others who will get up for potty during the night.
Does your yorkie sleep until he needs the potty? What are his sleeping habits at the moment?

hi thanx for reply,he is 7 weeks old and he does get up to potty but what bothers me he loves playing with me by chewing and licking me all nite,so i cant get sleep and when i put him on the floor he cries.

Ok here is what I would do 🙂
When he wakes up for potty take him out for a wee, then when you get back in set him on the floor even if he cries. If you play with him, this is what he will get used to.
You need to let him know that these hours of the morning are not for playing. If the crying bothers you too much, you might need to consider having him sleep in a seperate room.
I would also play with him lots and lots during the day and make him run around in order to tire him out.
Hopefully, this will help him sleep through the night.

My dog has this weird habit of only having to use the bathroom around…..5:30 in the morning she barks and does this cute whine and she won’t stop till you take her out! Shes alot like an alrm clock. 🙂
