What is the age that most yorkie start humping things? What if they start humping as a puppy? Does that mean anything?
Answer
Yorkie pups can begin humping at a very young age, sometimes as young as 2 months. It could be due to excitement or wanting to establish dominance.
If your yorkie is 6 months old you will be able to neuter him, I would not advise doing this at a younger age. Once your yorkie is neutered it should stop the humping behaviour.
If he is younger than 6 months I would just pull him off whilst sayin a firm NO to break the behaviour.
His humping is driving me crazy.
My yorkie is 1 yr old, has been neutered for 5 months and is still humping. I have taken his favorite toy from him but he always seems to find another. Help!
I have a yorkie 1 yr old. Neutered at 6 months- started humping his bed and some toys, also wants to sit on my lap and humps-driving me crazy too- He uses a wee wee pad-but I walk him a little bit- take him everywhere with me in a pet stroller.
